Iniciativa Kosovare per Stabilitet/Kosovar Stability Initiative (IKS) is an independent, not-for-profit think tank focusing on empirical research and analysis of socio-economic phenomena in Kosovo. Founded in 2004 by three Kosovan analysts, IKS offers innovative and policy-relevant research with the aim of initiating debates on issues of importance for Kosovo's future development. June, 2008 - Prof. Alina Mungiu-Pippidi visits Kosovo
Alina Mungiu-Pippidi, professor of Democracy Studies at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, visited Kosovo on June 7-8 for her research on conflicts around the world. Prof. Mungiu-Pippidi is currently writing a book on the Faultlines of Civilizations. IKS Analyst, Engjellushe Morina joined Prof. Mungiu-Pippidi in her tour around Kosovo and visited sites such as Gazimestan, Gracanica, Rahovec, Krusha e Madhe, Prizren, Decan, Mitrovica and others.
May, 2008 - Thinking Green project proposal preselected by EFB

The Thinking Green project has been preselected by the European Fund for the Balkans for the Think and Link Regional Policy Programme. The objective of the programme is to foster inclusive and evidence-based policy making in the Western Balkans by initiating individual and collaborative research projects. As part of the programme, the IKS team will participate in a brainstorming and networking programme cycle consisting of two seminars and a public launch event.
